Potassium Sorbate (shelf life extender) 100g
Potassium Sorbate is the potassium salt of Sorbic Acid. Its main function is to inhibit the growth of mould, yeast and microbes, which in turn increases the shelf life of food products. It can be used in many foods such as cheese, soft and fruit drinks, wine, dried meat and fruits, yogurt, apple cider, wine and baked goods.Potassium Sorbate is not suitable for bread making or baked products which use yeast. Carefully add 1/2 teaspoon per kilo of cake mixture - be sure to dissolve it first in a few drops of water then add to your mixture.
