NOTICE OF CHANGE: These plain cakes now ALL come on boards the same size as the cake (not bigger) so you don't need to order boards separately for stacked cakes. We recommend you order a nicer thicker drum for the bottom cake or single cake for nicer presentation. There are options for silver, coloured and even iced drums to match the cake! search 'drum'. Iced drum option is here. Generally we will ice the drum the same colour as the cake unless you tell us other wise in the notes so you can ignore the white and coloured options, they are the same price.... Best to keep it simple! Then you can add some nice 15mm ribbon to the edge with non-toxic Pritt Stick! (other brands are available ;-))

Plain Iced Un-decorated Cake Base for you to decorate yourself. Each cake consists of 2 layers of delicious vanilla sponge cake filled with real buttercream and strawberry jam then covered with sugar paste. Basic price is for a white cake, other colours are available at a little extra charge. Finished cakes are approximately 3" deep. The cakes come on thin boards the same size as the cake so you won't see them. We recommend you also buy a nicer thick drum for the bottom cake for nicer presentation or you can select an ICED drum (even better) . You'll also need to order dowel supports separately (if you stacking more than one cake). The cakes are made to order. They keep fresh for up to 5 weeks but this depends on many factors like weather, room temps etc. we recommend consuming within one week of receiving your cake. Please give us as much notice as possible.  We need at least 2 weeks notice if you need posting.  If its within this time, we can't guarantee safe arrival. Ours is a next day courier and is for the most part amazing....it's just that if it goes wrong somewhere you might be disappointed (like the weather situation). So please try give us plenty notice and we can give it time to set before posting. Another reason is that this gives us time to resolve any issues with your cake. We don't post for specific days but we will ensure you have your cake before the date you've requested.  These are essentially 'cakes in the post'. Please don't expect wedding cake standard. they are pretty good but they are not wedding cakes. They are basic cakes (posted) and are meant for the decorator to make them look good. if you are unhappy with your cake when it arrives, we need to know right away so we can try help you. It's difficult for us to do that after your event.
